The fabric is woven using BONCOURA’s original Ike Cotton denim, meticulously developed from the selection of raw cotton, fiber blend, and spinning techniques. Featuring a deep indigo rope-dyed process, the fabric achieves a rich, dark hue. Woven on BONCOURA’s special-spec vintage shuttle looms, it boasts a heavier 15oz weight, giving it a rugged texture that contrasts with the lighter ounce vintage painter pants. This robust construction ensures a unique patina and character that develop beautifully over time.

For the Black Denim, BONCOURA has applied a rope-dyeing technique, setting it apart from conventional vintage black denim, which is typically dyed through to the core. With traditional "piece-dyed" black denim, fading is minimal, but BONCOURA’s approach maintains a white core, allowing for a fading process similar to classic indigo denim. Over time, the fabric reveals a striking contrast, creating a distinct aged effect. Additionally, BONCOURA’s exclusive dye formulation gives the fabric a rich, deep black with a nuanced depth that evolves beautifully with wear.
