Crafted with uncompromising attention to detail from the very first stage of raw cotton selection and blending, through spinning, weaving, and dyeing, these jeans embody the essence of BONCOURA’s original denim. Every seam is stitched with 100% cotton thread, with thread count and sewing specifications carefully varied for each section.

For this KUROGANE XX, the front buttons are newly developed black iron buttons — a departure from the copper and brass often used by BONCOURA — made from solid iron and finished with a black lacquer coating.

The leather patch is made from specially tanned deerskin, starting from the raw hide. Both the pocket bags and waist label are individually stamped with a vintage typewriter, adding a distinct touch to each piece.

The silhouette is a classic, straight cut with a rugged character. Details such as V-stitching, hidden rivets, and punched rivets pay homage to vintage workwear construction.

For this edition, the pocket bags are made from black mélange chambray, offering a unique look that sets it apart from our usual models.

The fabric itself is BONCOURA’s original Ikemen denim — developed with meticulous consideration for the cotton’s origin, blend ratio, and twisting method. This time, the yarn is dyed in BONCOURA’s original deep black, a shade that, when paired with Ikemen denim, results in a fabric unlike any conventional black denim. The depth and presence of this cloth truly embody the name KUROGANE.

Woven with the same specially developed black yarn used in our 66 and Painter Pants — for both warp and weft — it achieves a richer, deeper black than ordinary black denim. Like our signature Ikemen indigo denim, it will develop its own unique fades and character the more you wear it.
