The blue part is denim "indigo", and the white part is a "vessel" inspired by hickory.
Makiya kiln's "kneading" creates a patterned layer by layering clay of different colors.
In general, patterns are often drawn with glaze, but the kneading technique is created by adding color to the clay itself.
The good thing about this technique is that the original texture and taste of the soil comes out as a taste on the surface.
However, cracks and other damage often occur during quenching, and the larger the product, the lower the yield.
Each piece is handmade by a craftsman, and the beautiful expression of the pottery is created by layering the soil in anticipation of the pattern and taking time and effort.
