Cruiser Jacket Moleskin Dark Navy
The history of the cruiser jacket dates back to early 20th century America. At the time, loggers and hunters, including members of the US Forest Service, needed a durable jacket that could withstand the harsh conditions of working in nature.
In response to this demand, the cruiser jacket was designed. Featuring multifunctional pockets, durable materials, and a design that provided both wind resistance and warmth, it was the perfect solution for their needs.
While many vintage cruiser jackets were made of wool, this version uses BONCOURA's original moleskin fabric. The high-density weave of the moleskin not only ensures durability but also enhances its texture over time, transforming the jacket into a unique piece through the aging process.
The front buttons are made from brown nut buttons, which will develop a rich patina over time, much like the fabric itself. The jacket has four front pockets, each with original snap buttons. The left chest pocket includes a pen holder, and there are handwarmer pockets as well.
On the back, there are two side pockets, and to create this distinctive detail, two full panels of fabric are generously used on the back.
Enjoy the timeless design and the one-of-a-kind character that develops through the aging process.
