About the Leather

Unlike cowhide, horsehide has a finer and more compact fiber structure, giving it a naturally smooth and supple touch.
It displays expressive textures—creases, veins, and subtle markings—that vary from piece to piece and develop with wear. These characteristics make horsehide especially suited to reflecting the unique character of its wearer.

This leather is dense yet remarkably soft to the touch.
By infusing it generously with wax and oil, we've achieved a distinctive hand-feel and a rich, weighty finish.

Its most unique feature lies in the way it ages:
Rather than fading like typical “tea-core” leather, this material gains depth and contrast through friction and the absorption of natural oils, becoming darker over time.
Creases around the elbows and sleeves gradually deepen, creating sharp contrasts and whisker-like patterns—reminiscent of aged denim.

Finishing

Each piece is hand-finished with wax by skilled artisans.
By carefully applying the wax while checking the surface of each jacket, the finish acquires a natural, uneven texture.
This handcrafted process ensures that every jacket has a truly one-of-a-kind appearance.
